The Learning and Development Coordinator will identify and monitor training needs in the firm, as well as design, plan, and develop engaging, innovative, and relevant impactful virtual and in-person training programs.
Responsibilities:
Review existing training programs and suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, employee retention, and the ever changing needs of the firm
Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the firm and the clients
Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or company developments that training could improve
Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions
Create learning materials for classroom, virtual, and e-Learning delivery
In conjunction with leadership, attorneys, and staff, conducts needs analysis, task analysis, audience analysis and focus groups to determine learning objectives and the appropriate instructional strategies and delivery methods for training requests
Collaborates with internal team members to design, develop, and implement learning solutions
Creates a variety of learning materials to include eLearning courses, demonstrations, simulations, videos, scenarios, case studies, exercises, workbooks, instructor and participant guides, PowerPoint decks, scripts, quick references, job aids, and knowledge checks
Develops e-Learning courses using the latest technology
Qualifications
At least 5 years of training and development experience
Law firm experience, insurance defense would be ideal
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability
Thorough understanding of training processes
Solid knowledge of Learning Theories
Ability to moderate large groups of virtual and in-person training
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), and professional demeanor
Skilled in gathering information and insights by interviewing groups and/or individuals
Candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently in setting agendas, schedules and deadlines
Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks
