Litigation Paralegal

Remote

Roig Lawyers is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our Fraud Recovery Group, a specialized practice dedicated to proactive legal action against insurance fraud. This role offers an opportunity to support sophisticated, high-impact litigation targeting staged accident networks, fraudulent medical providers, and organized fraud enterprises.

Our Fraud Recovery Group partners with insurance carriers, corporations, and Special Investigation Units (SIU) to move beyond reactive defense and pursue strategic litigation designed to recover improper payments, dismantle fraudulent schemes, and deter future misconduct.

About the Role

As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys in the development and litigation of fraud recovery actions. You will collaborate with attorneys, investigators, data analysts, and SIU professionals to help identify fraudulent activity and assist in executing litigation strategies aimed at disrupting fraud operations and recovering losses for our clients.

This position offers exposure to complex fraud litigation, investigative strategy, and coordinated civil and regulatory actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the investigation and litigation of civil fraud recovery matters involving staged accidents, medical billing fraud, and organized fraud networks
  • Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence for state and federal court filings
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings related to fraud, material misrepresentation, and policy rescission
  • Support Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) and pre-suit investigations in collaboration with SIU teams
  • Analyze and organize medical billing records, corporate documents, and data related to suspected fraud schemes
  • Assist attorneys with claims involving unjust enrichment, civil conspiracy, and RICO statutes
  • Prepare case files, exhibits, and evidence for hearings, depositions, and trial
  • Manage document production, discovery responses, and case tracking deadlines
  • Collaborate with investigators, data analysts, and legal team members to build comprehensive case files
  • Participate in case strategy meetings and assist with client communications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred (insurance defense, fraud, PIP, SIU-related work, or civil litigation is a plus)
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Experience with document management, discovery, and court filing procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and complex information
  • Proficiency in legal software and case management systems preferred
